As I shared in yesterday’s brain cupcake post, my tiny baby sister is now a college graduate! Where did the time go?
In addition to elaborate baked goods, our plan to mark her achievement also had to include our beloved Maltese, Totle. We’re kind of obsessed with him (see, Totle floral arrangement). Totle joined our family when I was a senior in college, so I joke that he graduated with his Bachelor of Arfs, and then because he went to law school with me (sometimes quite literally) he was also awarded his Juris Dogtorate. Point being, he’s into higher education.
Of course Baby Sister decided to feature him prominently on her graduation cap, but that wasn’t quite enough.
I had to make him a cap of his own.
We already had the supplies on hand and it took less than five minutes to complete. Basically I cut a square out of black foam board, then a long strip of foam, and two small foam circles. I glued the ends of the strip to form a circle and the top of the band to the square, and the circles together on the top to make a button for a tassel, which was just red embroidery floss tied together.
And being a Bloomington native, Totle also had to tag along for the graduation festivities.
