Cottage Style

Two weeks ago I escaped second winter in dreary Indiana for week of telecommuting from the beach. Things were much brighter from the Sandy Shores of Manasota Key, Florida where my parents own a tiny little beach cottage that I absolutely adore.

Want a mini tour? Please forgive the overexposed blurry photos, the sun is bright down there!

They bought the place in 2012 and then a couple  months renovating to open up the floorplan and redesign the kitchen. I worked as the principle designer. It’s been a ton of fun to plan and decorate but it still needs a few touches.

I’m still looking for the right headboards at the right price to go in the Guest Room and my sister was getting ready in there so I don’t have shots of it or the bonus room this time, but I’ll be back in May.

Isn’t it cute? If only I could go back today, the high there is 75 versus our balmy 45. Where is spring?
